I'm not sure what breed she is (her name is Grace - naturally...). Owner is very chagrined and a bit freaked out about it (appropriately). You make very good points - the same ones I made to him. (I basically said, I'm ok, I'll be fine, but this is a serious issue and someone could have gotten badly hurt - don't worry about me, but get some special/remedial obedience training stat.)

I tend to bruise easily (not a bleeding disorder or blood thinners, just fragile blood vessels, I guess) - did you see my "little" cockerel pecks and how badly they bruised? Nonetheless, yes, it's been very sore. Glad your boo-boo's better!!!

Oh my, looks painful. Maybe puppy needs to be on leash until it learns it's manners.

That was the astonishing thing - she was on a leash, and jumped and turned and bit - took us both by surprise!

I've been "Ma'am" since I was in my early thirties... Then again, that's when I moved to Texas.

Anyone have experience hatching polish. I have two hens covered by my orp but haven't had any chicks with the polish head hatch. Are they harder to hatch. I am trying to gather just their eggs and try again. Is the polish top hat dominant or recessive?

Banti had some bleeding, but nothing that I haven't seen before. She was shrink-wrapped, and the shell came off of her too soon it seems. The blood was never extreme. She has been drying off under the heat lamp for a few hours, and when I went to check on her she was unable to lift her head. I gave her some Nutri-Drench and she is relaxing on my chest. The noise she is making has me a bit concerned though.

you didnt aspirate her did ya by accident?

I candled. About a dozen -didn't count- are alive. Tossed two that were more than mostly dead. CCL look the best, most of them are very alive! Air cells are worse then I thought, most are -shush chaos- jiggly.

Decent. Headaches off and on. nausea finally seems to have passed. Most recently it has been abdomen and ribs hurting. She took a side picture this morning and compared to a week ago and I understand why she is hurting. You don't really notice the changes week to week but when you compare pictures it shows the changes. She hasn't gained much weight but she's definitely growing.

When I was pregnant with my twins, I had headaches. They got pretty severe towards the end. The dr said it was all the extra blood and hormones pumping through. The veins on my temples got really big. They were born at 7 months because I could not get any bigger. My ribs separated trying to make room. Twins pull muscles that you never even knew were there! I wish the best for you and her. It can be a tough road. Raising twins is a blast though!

But don't expect to sleep much for awhile......
