Ok, my humidity has been right around 65%. I just had 10 chicks hatch one right after another, and now it's in the 95% level. There is water buildup on the roof. Can I open it, to try to dispell some of the humidity? Or will that kill the pipped eggs? The chicks aren't drying.
no open it wipe lid

Another legbar out, 6 more pips. Sapphire malpo drowned in gook.

dang what has your room humidity been? did air cells get large only during the last few days of incubation?
Ambient humidity is in the 40s now, but we had thunderstorms for two weeks straight. I didn't have a hygro in the bator.

I was opening to turn several times a day, so couldn't have been too low. Air cells started looking too big in sapphires beginning of week two. And only sapphires in one row. So bator placement was the culprit? I just didn't have the brain waves to make a little box.

was the fan hitting the others more?

gotcha!! and I figured turkey I didnt think you got them lol

gotcha

ohhhh I think Cynthia tried those collars?
The collar works on some roos, but not all. I've had mixed results. Sometimes I can quiet them totally, but some roos you can strangle and they still are too loud. It seem like if I don't like a roo's color, or their personality, the collars work. If I love the roo, it won't. My goal is to have at least 1 silkie roo. the rest have to go.
