We ALL need goats!!!!!

I actually have the room (technically), though I would need to pick a site for the shelter and build it. What I really don't have right now is time. This whole hatching thing has left me with a LOT of chickens (funny how the happens!!!!) I need to get the final housing/dispositoins/families set up, streamline the chicken chores (GOT to do something about the watering, currently hauling a LOT of water by hand, NOT sustainable, though it's great weightlifting exercise), and get the numbers down once some decisions are made. THEN I can get goats. I'm hoping next year, but if not, then the following year. So I'm reading a lot and planning in the meanwhile...

@daxigait what type of minerals etc do you have for your goats? and do you offer free choice baking soda?

Get a few kids, breed them at 7 months. After they kid in spring, sell dams in milk and keep a few kids, repeat each year.

OK, after reading that I realize that the biggest problem I actually have with goats is that I could not sell any of them! Especially the little ones!

I do not intend to let a mutt have a free pass in a few weeks, but... Some of them are already nice looking!


Barefoot since her flip flop fell off, and she would rather take off the other than give up her two drinks or muffin. Breakfast outside went much better when she didn't know that I always serve food that she is allowed to share.
