I've broken brooders by locking them out and carrying them around on cool days. Bathing them, I like the cage idea. I'm worried about my buff though, I didn't notice her sitting but then 5 days ago she just looked unwell will they really let themselves die sitting?! She hasn't laid an eggs but maybe she's egg bound... Or sick... Would she stop do you think if she was sick for a whole week? She's over a year old so she's a really good layer usually... Last year one of my buffs were so broody for what seemed like forever I was dragging her out like crazy... I looked at my brahma and called her and she broke...

Would she stop what? Carrying them around may work but is a hassle that eats up your day. A broody hen won't lay eggs. A sick hen may not lay eggs either. An egg bound bird is usually obvious because they constantly go into the nest straining. They sometimes moan and their vent pulses.

My chickens alerted my to this guy. Any ideas what type it is?

It is a garter snake, it isn't poisonous it belongs yo the familly Colubridae, the tend to congregate by the thousands

RACECAR STRIPES ON A ZOOMIE WATER BURD. AND THEN THERE IS A OOSE FLUFFLET WITH A VERY SHORT BILL. IT IS BURD. AND BURD FITS IN THE PALM OF YOUR HAND SO WELL IT SEEMS BURD WAS MADE TO SIT IN HAND.

I hope that I am not offending anyone, and I apologize if I do! but when I read all the response of the woman forum members, to goats I know from what psychological Point the come from. I won't explain it. Not in English, but the bottom line of it Is: MAKE BABIES IF YOU CAN, OR TRY TO GET SOME GRAND CHILDREN FROM YOUR MARRIED KIDDS,!! Goat are a not sufficient substitute!

Our beautiful Biel roo just attacked our 6 year old... She told me he did it yesterday too- I didn't believe her and had her go in the run where he couldn't see me. He's only 4 months old, with no spurs yet. He indeed came around the run, right for her, with his hackle feathers puffed and his chest out. I had always said I'd have a no tolerance policy... He's so gorgeous, but not more than our little girl. I told her I was so sorry I didn't believe her and that Big Handsome would be gone by morning

Immediately! He lost its right to live! Don't compromise they can inflict saver damage to a child! In my world it would no live a minute after the attack!

It is only true if you want to distinguish between the highly venomous coral snake

And the non venomous milk snake

It is a classic case of Batesian mimicry
