Ack!

You need new windows? I know a guy
I do. Who?

Was the last time I looked
Then why did you correct me?

MC
You asked yesterday if there was anything I haven't done. The answer, obviously, is yes, but the jobs I have held, not necessarily in chronological order, and some concurrently, are:

Helper on a laundry truck prior to high school
Bussing tables in a restaurant my last 2 years of high school
Aluminum storm door & window installer
Roofing & sheet metal work
U.S. Census Bureau
Securities & Exchange Commission
IBM (21 years as a Computer Operator)
Tandy Leather Co. store in Rockville, MD
Classified advertising salesman for a local weekly newspaper
Computer Operator Operator for Moore Business Forms, in Thurmont, MD for a short time
20+ years of newspaper motor routes routes, carrying Balt. Sun, Wash. Post, Financial Times, NY Times, Frederick News-Post
25 years as owner / operator of K&K Lawn Care
Several years of buying / selling horse tack
Decorative leather work
I resemble that.
After I get back with my new well trained border collie and my nice unneeded olive egger cockerel I need to butcher, I'll try to post my list.
At least I'll get back my water fount and 7 lb. rooster feeder I loaned her.

I think I am have annoyed someone. I do apologize if I have. I am being as quiet as I can without just logging out.
I didn't detect that.

Depends on the friends
She has been a great friend and given me lots of help here but she's losing friends at an alarming rate.
She's a heavy drinker and when she drinks, she doesn't eat food.
Her bones are as brittle as an 80 year old and she's just a little over half that. I took her to lunch Thursday and she ordered a BBQ turkey sandwich from which she had a tiny nibble, while I ate a whole slab of baby back ribs.
She took the turkey sandwich home along with some fruit I got for her at the farmer's market. Each day I asked her if she had eaten and she said yes. I asked her how the turkey sandwich was and she said it was great. I went to take her to lunch yesterday and the turkey sandwich was still intact in the fridge. She was planning on going on the sustainable living tour but forgot about it. At 4:30 PM she was still in bed. After she got dressed she threw herself headlong into the wall - smashing her head and breaking her hip.
I was so angry, I handed her her cell phone and told her to call 911. I fed and watered all her animals, took the dog for a long walk and left. I got a text at 3:30 this morning asking if I could take her dog for a while.

If you view them as a burden then they aren't friends.
It's getting to that point. I wasn't planning on calling her again till I got the text about the dog.
She's a great dog.

I've used that for fencing. It's fairly strong and lasts about 2 or 3 years, unlike wire fencing. For the price, it can serve a purpose.
I have chain link fencing for my Silkie run. Since I got rid of my big bad roo, I've introduced ALL the 2 month and older silkies into the group. They were squeezing out through the chain link, so I used the deer netting to cover the chain link. I have also used it as a temporary pen for babies on their day trips outside. I am not sure how it would do as an only form of fencing LONG term.

I am sorry.

You are silly, woman.

Quote: I didn't correct you. I was just pointing out that regular aluminum storm windows are no longer in use. The industry wen't to vinyl-clad aluminum, then to all vinyl.
My BIL installs a lot of windows, and I've helped him on a lot of jobs,as well as a few vinyl siding jobs. I wouldn't charge you anything, but since it's extra income for him, he'd have to charge you, and because of the distance it wouldn't be cheap. You'd be ahead of the game financially to get someone local, but if you can't find anyone I'll run it by the BIL & see if he's interested...I'd be surprised if he was.
