Thank you! I'm still here, had to get my daughter some Tylenol (she's running a fever). Ugh.

I feel like the chick bleeds every time I touch it.

Would the chest be between the legs at this point? (To look for beak).
 
I have not addressed the veining. That is normal. I assume it is just the imprint of the veins from before the skin and feathers grew over them.
The inside of the shell is going to look like it has veins in it.
 
Yes, I think that is where to look first.
Duckling had a fever a week ago. It lasted a few days on and off. :th my thermometer's battery died too. I had to use the kiss test to see if she needed Tylenol or not.
 
If you think that the chick is just bleeding every time you touch it, it might be time to wrap it in a moist paper towel and go to bed. :hugs
Too much bleeding will cause stress even if it doesn't bleed to death.
 
I used a cotton swab to try and find beak between legs but still didn't see it...

Too much blood?
