Here is a drawing All this info is in the assist hatching document. Do you need the link?
I agree, I put in the eggs, on day 18 I take it off the turner, lay the eggs down, up the humidity and the chicks hatch. I have no temp spikes. They seal so completely, that humidity is EASY to maintain. It's a bit of a pain to clean after hatching in it. But I have 2 and I love them!!! Better hatch rates in those than in my LG or my Incuview.Reliability and reputation. They do have good bators, but I think they charge $400 just because they can!![]()
They are, however, the very top of the line and hold temp amazingly. Very good for the hands-off hatcher.
I am so sorry Sally. My thoughts go out to your nephew's family. I hope things settle down for you. You can only win the lottery if you play!!yer just mr forethought aintcha? I try not to think about getting up until I have to lol
mornin sweets! whatcha got planned today?
do you take ice with you to milk and put it on right away? I was reading how much of a difference to taste doing that creates, some just keep a water bottle frozen in the milk pail. If someone can organize it, sure. I am swamped right now with kids, and we lost our nephew last week and I have another procedure coming up friday. But as long as windy and rain let me online count me in, @daxiidait ugh speaking of windy she is not making this morning online easy
I'm sorry Banty. I had a chick get suffocated IN THE incubator. Had a pile of chicks and at the bottom, one wasn't moving. 10 minutes later, I went into check the babies that hatched last week, and I found another one under the pile of chicks that got suffocated. They are not intelligent.....Oh my goodness. WHY does it have to be this hatch, the breeds I especially wanted???![]()
I just checked on the chicks. The two older guineas had sat on the MHP and pushed it down. Zeta, the lavender keet, and Enya were under it. Zeta is dead, Enya was near the edge so I think she's okay, and the keet is on my lap after getting rinsed to cool her off quickly... I cannot belive how much is happening to these babies!
Both these bantam were bought from TSC. Both i think to be cockerels. Does any one know what breed they might be? No crowing yet but the colors abd feathering......
