Hello!

I do think I did right by trying to help, it just wasn't formed correctly.
This was my first hatch with shipped eggs and my most stressful ever. I have two chicks though, one of each that I wanted. So trying to look at the positive.

yes

I did the float test on my remaining two eggs just now (beginning day 24). They both floated low, but I didn't notice any movement. Does this mean they are dead? Or that I should leave them in a bit longer? They are both very dark olive eggs that I cannot see inside of, so candling doesn't help.
probably dead sorry

I should go. I need a serious attitude adjustment.

One, it's been over 20 years. Two, the IBM mainframes that took up more than one floor of a building, sometimes more, had an altogether different operating system than our modern PC's.

Hey all, I just received the best ever excuse to hatch some eggs:

I was given the incubators about 2 weeks ago and this afternoon answered a knock on my door to a doz assorted gamefowl eggs. Well, one of the incubator's fired up and warming up, since it looks like I have no choice here? *sigh*

Yayyyy Sumi's here!! Welcome!! lol good luck with the eggs!

Be careful she might lie to you about what kinds they are.

It's obvious you had no choice but to incubate them.

i figured it was just funny

Just pulled 3 clears, 9 going into lockdown in the am.
Good luck with the hatch!!! Sorry about the clears

Good morning all! I lost all but 1 of my quotes! You all are BUSY in the morning! 26 pages behind....

I have 3 buckets of broodies in my bathroom. They need more room, but that will have to happen next weekend. 2 buckets are active and eating machines. 1 bucket, the chicks are slow, they aren't eating much, not drinking much. They all look healthy. But, they tend to stay under the mama heat pad. They are the quietest chicks, so I don't think they are cold. When I lift out the heat pad, and roust all the chicks, they stay active for maybe 10 minutes, then they go back to sleep. The other bins are always moving around. Are some chicks just lazier than others?

Ok, well I'm off to work. I hope everyone has a great day!
