I've been thinking about something for the past few weeks......

Recently, I was sitting in a waiting room and saw a family. They all had their phones out and were texting or playing games. They were not interacting with each other or talking. Increasingly, I have been seeing this. Young children that do not have any interests. They go to school and do stuff on their phone, and that is what their life is. I see this especially in those living in city environments. Obviously, I see many families that are not this way- It is the ones that are that way that scare me.

Where are we headed as a country if all kids are learning is school subjects and how to tri-star an Angry birds level, and not so much important life lessons?

Rant over.... Thanks for listening.

Well the same could said about us. All the time spent on the computer and byc forum. It all about balance. Spend the at least the same amount of time outside in the sunshine either your critters. Devices are good ways to occupy kids while your waiting. Technology is a scary, addictive thing. Esp when you are not interacting with humans.

Only half done used the pish mower around all corners etc. Riding mower....dead as a doornail brand new battery 2 weeks ago...i think the kids turned the key to on.....charging now! Lesson? Dont leave key in mower!

Hey all, I just received the best ever excuse to hatch some eggs:

I was given the incubators about 2 weeks ago and this afternoon answered a knock on my door to a doz assorted gamefowl eggs. Well, one of the incubator's fired up and warming up, since it looks like I have no choice here? *sigh*

Hi! I don't think I have seen you since the last time I had chickens! I am so sorry that you "have" to hatch. It is just such a tragedy!

Ooooooh! Yes!

Good luck with the hatch!!! Sorry about the clears

Good morning all! I lost all but 1 of my quotes! You all are BUSY in the morning! 26 pages behind....

I have 3 buckets of broodies in my bathroom. They need more room, but that will have to happen next weekend. 2 buckets are active and eating machines. 1 bucket, the chicks are slow, they aren't eating much, not drinking much. They all look healthy. But, they tend to stay under the mama heat pad. They are the quietest chicks, so I don't think they are cold. When I lift out the heat pad, and roust all the chicks, they stay active for maybe 10 minutes, then they go back to sleep. The other bins are always moving around. Are some chicks just lazier than others?

Ok, well I'm off to work. I hope everyone has a great day!
I thought I had the quietest chicks in the world... Then they hit about two-weeks and they never shut up!
