I will read it in the morning, and thanks. I have to be at work in 6.5 hours so I am off to bed. I will try to get them the fan tomorrow. This is part of the reason I covered a third or more of the run and installed an outdoor roost for daytime since the coop gets hot.Yes let me do some searching the arm came from our local seed company that sells all kinds of gardening devices. It has been working for me for at least 5 years now. I'm impressed with the simplicity of the thing. BRB

Night all!
There's a hydraulic vent arm that requires no electricity or batteries it operates on temperature pushing the ram open with heat and closed when cooler. I've built a metal chimney with the vent on top to open and close. Idea of chimney is when it gets hot from the sun then it draws hot air out of coop. That and the vent and fan in the door works really well.
Would you send me pictures and names? I was thinking of the spinning things(name?) like on my storm shelter.
Cut the welded wire 1.5" x 2" larger than the opening. Use self-tapping screws w/large washers near the crosspieces of the wire, if all that makes any sense. That should hold it, even if it ain't so pretty.I have a storm door as the human entrance. I need to figure out how to hardware cloth over the screen area so I can leave that open. Any suggestions?
