Ok ib going to let it be for a few more hours then check back. My other hatch 8 out of 9 chicks hatched and everything went so smoothly. These were due the next day and nothing. We are on day 22 now with only 2 pips and only 4 eggs. This batch just went wrong somewhere...

like i said zip should be no more than 90 minutes,
a few more hours could be too long,

if they are shipped eggs it could explain the malpo, also sounds like your incubator may have been running a tad cool

If I help it how can I keep the membrane moist? Will opening the incubator harm the other one? They are shipped eggs.

opening the bator will blast them with cold dry air, you will want moist warm paper towels ready to throw in when it is time

Just wanted to thank everyone for watching the feed yesterday, 6 of 9 so far are in the brooder, the top corner is still having trouble getting out. No pips in the other two. I'm happy none the less, drastic improvement from my last hatch.

OK, so I was looking at this thread, and my eggs donn't look like the eggs there on day 15. I think the chicks in my eggs were smaller than that. Are they growing too slowly? I will try to get good pics tonight, but I'm still trying to get my camera to take a good picture!
