8 of 40 quail hatched. The cat got 4 and 2 others died (hatched after cat was there) I have my doubts on the 2 left. I contacted the EBay seller. Letting them know I understand all the variables in incubation and the seller can not be responsible for the hatch, but let them know I think the 4 day shipping time contributed to the poor hatch.
The won the auction on the Thursday before Memorial Day. The eggs got here on Tuesday and I set them Wensday. The freshest the eggs could have been was 5 days old. I was surprised the seller shipped them on a Friday and the Friday before a 3 day weekend by US mail. I let the seller know because of the poor hatch I am once again in search of quail eggs. Doesn't hurt to ask....right?

although I do believe these disorders exist, as a babysitter and being surrounded by children my entire life, I also believe this is due to lack of parental guidance and the fact that parents dont take time to discipline children, so the youngsters have no boundaries as the generations before them. Just my thoughts.... Somewhere people lost the part where you teach your children both respect and boundaries.
