Hey friends. I am new to hatching/candling and am on day 6 with shipped eggs. I set 6 eggs. This morning 1 was clear and I had 1 blood ring. Opened them up and they were scrambled from shipping. I was kind of expecting it from when I first candled. I saw bubbles in them.

However, on my other 4 I'd like to describe what I see and find out if its good or bad.

When I candle from the air cell down (because I am being so careful not to disrupt the air cell anymore than USPS already did) I see what is like an egg with 4 layers. I see the air cell, then veins raining down the sides of the shell, then a darker ring, then clear egg. I do not see an embryo or a circle of vessels. Not sure if I will see that around day 10, or maybe never? I look at the candling pics online and it looks so perfect. That lottle round emryo and the vessels radiating out from it.
My eggs are light brown. They're barred rock. Does it sound like they're normal or is there a problem?
It sounds normal:

See! Ninja skillz...

Hey now, THAT's an idea. Where do you mount them? (Height, location, etc.)

The strings are attached to the fence wire and to posts. I have them at about 6 ft. pointed down about 30 degrees.

They make a big difference on a hot day.

So that's where you're from. I thought your English was pretty good.
I bet the weather is better where you are now.

Some people shouldn't own chickens. Or any other living thing for that matter.

Yup, born and raised Texan, recent Belgian transplant.

See! Ninja skillz...

Yup, doing much better. Even got rid of her lice and got her appetite back. I am worried that she drinks only sporadically and about only three tablespoons worth. I don't think that's ideal when doing antibiotics. Don't want to have to tube her.

I don't know about a song, but I love the way a Texas gentleman says "Yes, mam."@MotorcycleChick
I would love to hear one say it fer real! lol

good morning everyone! We have 7 new chicks!!

Looks like they're all from my silver penciled rock rooster and the black ones are from a dom hen, the brown ones from Sussex and the gray one I think has my white rock for a mum. The one still has stuff stuck to it's head but they were climbing out when I let some humidity out so I had to collect them up. I think the black ones are all male, also of the 5 babies from the Dom we now have one with a straight comb rather than a rose comb. Looks like boys though because they have head spots so I'm guessing they'll be barred... And with this I think barred for boys.

i think the one with the darkest beak is a girl and the other 2 are boys, - 2 squeak, one quacks???

Apparently the coaster was just designed, but not built. It is called the euthanasia coaster. Two minutes at two g's kills you. So it gives the ultimate adrenaline rush before killing you.
