@daxigait I can't read what she wrote other than the dosage instructions so here's a picture.

Here's the color if that helps.

I have her outside but far from the others and she drank nearly a full cup of the antibiotic water. I'm keeping her outside during the day and it can get a bit hot so this behavior should keep up.
I seem to make everyone leave lately . Hope you feel better.![]()
I swear billy I am leaving and you pop on everytime!! Hope your feeling better
I have a heck of a headache, no java today, need to sleep all afternoon without children!!![]()
The active ingredient in Sevin dust is carbaryl dust. That one is not effective on some mites in California:![]()
you are doing what you can, I agree keep her warm
I didnt know that about Preth, you have the link to what it doesnt kill? interesting!
LOL I have no clue what docs write most times, but mine is always on the bill too, when they charge me!
What did I miss on permethrin?![]()

Love it. SSS
Love that too. I've had some pretty wild tees over the years. Go figure.Just got a new t-shirt that reads, I'm not a gynecologist but I'll take a look. Can't wait to wear it.
I don't think it is a problem.I went to check my chicks that are between 6 to 12 weeks old. I found 3 or 4 like this.
I am guessing mites. Sevin? Or something like that...what's the name of the dust I need to use? I tossed one into another pen, but didn't notice the feather loss until after I let go. I need to treat ALL of my pens, correct?
Brains AND looks, there are so few of us.I know it's not perfect, and I really did it just so I could track the weight of my peachicks. I will tell DH about your suggestions and see what he can do, 'cause he's the brain around here, lol.

Do they have access to dust bathing areas?I may go out now that it's dark and see if I can see any creepy crawly stuff....this looks like bugs to me, not a normal molt
I'll check tonight, but will check again in the morning to see if I can see more evidence.
These are all 6 week to 12 week old babies. They are still upstairs in the coop. I've been grabbing the older ones and dropping them into the lower pen that does have access to dirt. I will move all these babies down into the lower pen after I treat them. I'll get them all outside.
Their coop is a bit nasty right now. I was supposed to clean it this week, but it's been so busy and way too hot, I fell behind. I'll box up these babies, treat them, clean their coop and treat that.
Thank you again everyone!!!
I still want to ask...this building has 4 pens. This is in the top left pen, no signs of damage in the bottom left, top right or bottom right. The bottom pens can go outside, the tops can not. Should I treat ALL 4 pens? Or do I just treat the pen that has these mites. For the bottom left, I dropped one of the mite bitten chicks in there. Will that spread the mites or do they just stay in the coop and only jump on the chicks to feed?
Thanks!! When I googled mites I came up with treating it with garlic and making a spray with cooking oil, and cinnamon and other stuff. The 'remedies" made me feel like I was trying to ward off vampires!!!
There are a handful of avian vets on BYC but I haven't seen them on this thread. No she isn't, if you want an expert opinion you should an Avian specialist veterinarian, I don't think thst you will find him in this thread, just keep in mind that as long as you wait more of your chicks will die!
The advice given by Akrnaf2 was very good. Thanks everyone for the responses about how to keep my flock cool in the summer! I haven't any since I took in all the suggestions.
But....
Now my eggs shells aren't that hard. My birds won't eat the oyster shells either. What else can I do to keep their shells hard?
Sell them.I am already bursting at the seams with eggs. I get 8 eggs + per day, and have 6 POL pullets. I can't eat that many!
I give a lot to friends & family.
Are you in the market to buy chickens?do u ship chicks
Oncehave u used corid before
You should get a necropsy.in there brooder another one has died
Are you going to send a dead or dying bird to your poultry lab for necropsy?they look dirty they both hanging there tail and head down and I don't know the temp they are drinking a a lot yes they are eating they are puffed they stay huddled up
I'm right here with you. It was supposed to hit 100 again yesterday but a front came in and as it hit 97 it started retreating and didn't feel that bad yesterday evening. (maybe I'm getting used to it)It was 96°yesderday with a heat index close to 105°. This morning it is only seventy five which is ten cooler than yesterday, but humidity is 88%.
Do you have the egg covered with something to keep humidity in?no,I'm leaving today to go up north till Sunday afternoon.and it's didn't hatch yet.but looks like it's absorbing some veins maybe
Testy today, are we?...
This is not a complete sentence CH try again please
...
Probably Solodyn. It looks just like the tetracycline I was given for clostridial bacteria. Solodyn is tetracycline.@daxigait I can't read what she wrote other than the dosage instructions so here's a picture.
