If you attach a picture that will help Kathy. She always asks for one. She is West coast though so it is early.

Can you tell me if the SOP includes the Altsterier? I've been looking for a standard and having a difficult time locating one. Just didn't want to buy the book if it didn't have it listed

I just use plastic buckets - although the entire coop is wood, and the frame to hold the buckets is wood....I mostly want them because we have a mite issue and mites can't nest on plastic. Our current ones are wood and they are mite magnets, especially in our wet climate.
No but no structures lost yet which is remarkable. Very cool almost cold out today so this should help them.
My town only incorporated in 1969, but my house was built around 1903. I think it's one of the oldest houses still standing. The town used to be called Simiopolis....thankfully shorted to Simi in 1910. I grew up in a house built in the 1800's back east. There isn't much like that out here.Yes I know, 200 years old house? ONLY 200!? in Israel 200 old house is equal to a Byzantine house!
I see SOP as Standard Operating Procedures, is that the same in the chicken world?@ChickenCanoe or anybody
