My broody in the rock dumped all eggs. Which I'm actually glad. The 6 from the BCM broody are still doing well

Also, it took the skunk that got my chickens a few nights before he went in. After that it was non stop for several weeks. I knew there were quite a few out there just didn't know it was that many.

You will definitely catch a chicken or two if you forget to trip it during the day. I don't free range anymore so it stays set all the time, get them out asap.

Yeah, I tripped it before opening the coop.

If you chose to do the dry dog food put a small handful on the ground and then put the trap on top with the food behind the trip plate. It makes them dig for it the more movement they do they better the trap has to work. I used to tie a small cup inside. That's not needed.
