Yep. When mixed with HRIR or EE, the cochin babies come out blue and fluffy. But the fibro genes appear to be dominant, because I've gotten some black-skinned chicks with pea combs. Maybe some really fluffy "dark and stormy night" type chickies?? This is a hona mix pullet. That's not helpful!

Oh! I have one I think it's a hona mix? White with black spots, but dark blue legs and skin, and bluish comb. I think it's going to be a roo. Hona hens have tiny petite combs.

EEs can have lots of things! That's why their eggs are fun to hatch! but that darn hona is making everything black now. Only 1 nonblack chick in my last hatch WHICH I PROMISED DH WAS MY LAST HATCH. I have polish mixes with blue legs, too.

Love it! I'm a staunch Packers fan, as is my son. I'd love to be able to send this to him, but haven't a clue how to do it. All I know is cut & paste doesn't seem to work on my computer.
