Better now, power went out last evening, which is fine, I have a whole house generator, but the internet was out most of the evening too.

whole house generator is a great thing.

I have a big generator I was using in KC when I was working there while we had 3 major lengthy power outages here at home the wife and kids had to deal with.
I haven't needed to use it for outages since.

Alot of great advice. I have definitely learned alot through this process, I wasn't going to incubate eggs but then my broody hen decided to ditch her clutch after a week, this was my first experience and I definatly didn't plan it. I am an anxious person anyway, so I'm sure that doesn't help. But I guess for having to make do with a styrofoam cooler and all the other issues ive had along the way I've done pretty good to hatch any at all! If I ever decide to incubate again I will buy an incubator and plan it out better. My last 2 pipped this morning, if they hatch 6 out of the 12 made it. 50% isn't ideal but it's not bad given my circumstances! Thanks everyone for the advice and being there for me through it all, the people on this website are amazing!!!
You did great, especially with a spur of the moment incubator build.
I was just trying to say to relax a little. Once you've given them the right temperature, humidity and turning, that's all you can do. After that, it's up to the embryos.

Morning all!
I was on Maury today...

That's funny.
My wife says the same thing about incubating eggs.

...
Turkey meatloaf just sounds so wrong!
We've made that a few times. It's not too bad.

It comes in handy here, about 90%+ of my neighbors don't have electricity running into their house, so the area isn't high on the priority list when outages occur. I've been on generator power for days on more than one occasion.
I was curious how many of you were experiencing severe BYC withdrawals during the maintenance downtime.
Not really, just got a little productive for a little while.

What do your neighbors do for electricity? That sounds like sub-Saharan Africa numbers.

I noticed Tractor Supply now has bee keeping supplies.

Yes. They and the Farm&Home store across the road from them has them. I've bought a frame feeder and smoker fuel from there.
