The drivers side was intact at the seat with no cars in the ditch, but the ditch angle and rock hillside means it hurt at least. They were cleaning up so no ambulance.

Should I trust a Barred Rock that is acting broody?

They are supposed to be setters but I had 3 for years that never went broody. One just never knows.
My Penedesencas used to go broody all the time but not a single one this year. I had a black Leghorn that went broody all the time and was a great setter.

Swartzentruber Amish still live primitively, won't use phones, ride in cars etc.., Then the Old Order Amish, the ones that farm live more primitively than the builders, plumbers, electricians, HVAC guys, furniture builders, etc., then the New Order Amish drive cars, might have electric in house, possibly even internet.
Congratulations!

That gives me a whole different perspective of Amish. I can't imagine one driving a car. Modern times I guess.
