Hovabator still air. I'm waiting on a small fan to arrive to put in the bator to help even the air temp. I circulate the eggs 3-4 times per day when I turn them (and the water dish). Thermometer is calibrated just a few days ago. Dish has been in the incubator for close to 24 hrs. Going to get a genesis in about a week with auto egg Turner and use this pain in the butt as a hatcher but until then... I read on here that modeling clay in the shape of an egg is a good indicator of temperature. To put the probe in the modeling clay egg so I thought a small dish of water (about the volume of an egg) might work too.

Double check with the incubating experts, but I think the temp of still air incubators is supposed to be close to 102. -KathyHovabator still air. @ChickenCanoe Trust me any work involved in figuring out how to make the doors work for your coop and actually installing the doors is far out weighed by the immediate relief the first time they operate. Pressure is off you did not realize you were feeling and it us one less chore.
Loving my doors!
