He's interesting in playing games, but not so much programming stuff. That requires being able to remember things, and he has disorganized thinking, which makes things like that, very difficult for him.

Professional gaming doesn't make enough for me to want to encourage him to become a "Pro-Gamer" as a life job. LOL I love gaming too, don't get me wrong, and I made money off it as a teen myself, but it's now where NEAR enough to live on... even the best professional gamers only make about 60-80k a year, and that's the like the top 50-100 gamers in the world. There's not much chance he'd end up being in those ranks, not with his vision being so bad and so uncoordinated. It takes a lot of eye-hand coordination.

I'm all about setting up realistic goals for my kids, I've never been of the belief that "you can do whatever you want, or reach every goal you ever set."

I also don't believe in giving trophies for participation though, so I'm a meanie like that. haha
I like you, lol, you sound like a good parent to have
i wasnt thinking as a profession really but more as something for him to be into

Quote: @Sally Sunshine Nigerian Dwarf gestation is 145 days(+/- 5 days) , A full size goat is 150 days (+/-5days) gestation. An ND bred Oct 1st should kid around Feb 23rd (145 days). Personally I wouldn't want kids any earlier than that, and probably will wait till second or third week of October to start breeding.

yup I said end of october or nov breeding, I already got what you threw before

Oooh - yeah, he's allowed to have hobbies, and gaming is one of them. I just wish I could steer him in a direction for a job/tradeskill of some sort. His life goal right now is make us build him a basement to live in so he can play legos and video games for ever... I told him not a chance would I have a 30 year old son living in my basement. LOL I might consider a mother in law dwelling, but he'd have to pay rent. haha

He's actually special needs enough, that my realistic goal for him is a GED - and maybe, if we're lucky, a drivers license, but the way he rides bikes and motorbikes... I'm not sure they'll give him a license, he might run someone over, or crash into a tree. but hey, I'm holding out hope.

He probably would have done better being raised in a city, with lego museums and all that kind of stuff. He liked Disney land, but he wasn't a fan of six flags when we took him. He thought all the rides were too scary. When we took him to an African safari, the emu's and ostrich's pecking at the windows, made him howl and cry because he was afraid of them. HE made us PROMISE not to ever get an emu or ostrich as a pet...

Chickens, he can tolerate, but they make him a little nervous if they peck. LOL He's done okay having chickens. He likes getting the eggs.
