Not really, but at least they are out of Washington. A lot of their stuff is at my house filling the warehouse, AND a storage unit. They are supposed to be downsizing but shipped way too much here to NM. The lack of someone to engage with turns the brain to mush. No stimulation equals death.
Having a little one further kills brain cells IMO. While your brain races for the answer to, "why is she crying?" "Why did she just do that?!" "How did she get that quarter up her nose?!" As well as making up conversations, you also don't have real thoughts and opinions to talk about.
ChickenCanoe mentioned a social life. Sexist, but I am going to say it. A man can't understand why a female would rather stay away from the social scene. Let alone a married man.

I like to keep mine inside for the first week or two also. They seem to integrate better if I can get them near the flock when they are babies and are usually running in and out of the brooder section mingling with the flock by 5 weeks.
