My husband was furious when they began fixing company trucks to only go 67, then 62. He likes to go so fast, the cops can't keep up.
Semi's scare me when I have to drive around them. I'm always worried they'll run me over. Or off the road. I've had a few nearly do both. lol

We had a semi truck explode down here not too long ago, it destroyed a house, and the nurse who lived inside, was identified by her dental records amongst the remains. It happened around 2am, you could hear the explosion for miles, people who were slightly closer to the explosion had all their windows shatter.

We were just far enough away that it just made our house shake and sound like a tree fell on our roof.

No! That's the thing....it was flat interstate 40. Eastbound. A beautiful, sunny, not a cloud in the sky day!!!! We were OO's. The other driver was company. Thank you.

Ahhh the governors!! Yup my husband would never let someone control his speed. Or his anything just about that's why he was an OO for 25 years. It's frustrating when a governed truck pulls out in front of you to pass another governed truck....going uphill! Lol jk

Waaaahhh! Way too early for spiders!!! Yuck!

I was thinking the same thing. It's dark and I have my feet hanging off the edge of my bed while I sit on my laptop and debate on either working, or playing video games... and then spiders. Now my feet itch.

Thanks a lot. LOL

Lol ohhhh me hates spiders!!!!

Ok now I'm afraid to go back to sleep......

When I was little our cat brought a mouse in the house one time........it wasn't dead. Us kids chased it around with kitchen utensils after the cat lost interest in it's toy.
I have pictures of my kids capturing field mice in our last country-house. My big cat was sitting there watching them. LOL The cat would find out where it would go, and sit there and wait, then get it cornered for the kids to put a container over it. My husband would then take it to the back of the property and chuck it over the fence, because my kids would get upset if he killed it.

As they've gotten older, they've luckily gotten more blood thirsty, and now want all rats and mice to die. It only took the rats eating their popcorn a few times in bags, before they realized they didn't like the buggers around. lol

My husband likes running people off the road. He is a trainer now.

LOL! It is annoying. We were supposed to get into OO again, but he hurt his back, and things were just getting straightened out when .... "this" happened. His loss!

So then send the kids out after the mouse population and that should solve your mouse problem

I understand that. Most are highly skilled drivers. But you do have these schools putting inexperienced drivers behind the wheel. That scares me. The guy who hit us was one of these. I mean I understand everyone's gotta start somewhere...but more experience in rough conditions is needed. None of these new drivers experience snow, ice, black ice, tornadic weather, etc. idk where they'd get that experience without actually being on the roads, but it's just terrible how they're thrown out into it.

Awe honey how I feel for y'all. Yes we were doing so well when our accident occurred. Gosh things couldn't have been better. Then WHAM! Our whole lives changed dramatically in an instant. I'm praying for your husband. I know back pain. Unfortunately. But it is excruciating. I'm so sorry.

Kajira:
LMBO! I'll admit...my husband did some of that too only when a fellow trucker was being a douchebag.(not to the point of causing danger to anyone though). My husband would be an excellent trainer. Then again....he probably would yell at the people for gear grinding!! Ha ha! No no everybody does that a time or two!

Most truck drivers seem really respectful of other drivers, but some seem to just dominate the road, and just assume everyone else will get out of their way.

Or, occasionally, I've had a few tailgate me, and nearly push me off the road, when I wouldn't go faster in the dark, when it was wet, and the road conditions were dangerous and I had kids/old people in the car. I usually go the speed limit, and won't speed. Down here, you'll see semi's going 90, when the speed limit is 75.

We were going over Donner's, and over the CB you hear a Californian freaking out! There was a dusting (I do mean just a dusting!) of snow, and he was out of his mind!!
