That might get a bit crowded. It would for sure be downright noisey

Hey! What about mine?
you woke up late, I made a second pot, hope you like Folgers Columbian

Progress? Hardly! I hate seeing it. The family farm will be non-existant before long, though not in my lifetime or yours, likely. All being taken over by corporations. Kids don't want to stay on the farm when they can make big bucks in town & not have to work so hard
We have traded a spider stick for a plunger in the name of progress

I'll give you some if you let me off your porch...
No deal.

I didn't wake late. I just didn't bother with this thread for a while.
Folgers? Isn't that the stuff they serve to people in prison camps?

I've been reading a lot of the homesteaders books, and the investment that you put into it, solar power for keeping your electric/well, etc going, butchering materials, processing stuff... all of it takes money invested, i doubt you'd ever break even. At least not for a long time.

Granted, you could do it fairly barbarically, like people did 200 years ago, but they also used to get sick from infections and all sorts of other complications.

If you're going to do things right, it's gonna cost money, especially if you're humane to everyone and everything involved.

When we first moved here I thought I'd try and at least make it one week on the foods we grew here. Let's just say I'd be dead and most items I raised had to te started from things I bought. Thank God for farmers even though I complain about how they do things. My feeble attempts were ruined by a single hail storm. Now whatcha gonna do, can't eat dirt.

Sally, Banti, and others, how does this AC look? It's about day 10 on the Ancona ducks. I've been running humidity super low per recommendations, so is this right? Looks big to me but I've never hatched ducks.
Looks a little big to me. Let me go see if I can find the picture thingy.
...... I'll join you...... We would have a blast. .......
That would indeed be a blast.

I tried this, it's false advertising.
