Incubation period for finch eggs?

I threw some finch eggs in my bator for a friend of mine. For her girls mostly. I can't find out how long the incubation period for a finch egg is. Does anyone know this or does anyone know where I can find this info?

Depending on the breed, 11 to 14 days. Is she prepared to care for them? It is very demanding. They need to be fed mush food often 24-7 like every hour or two. They are also very tiny and fragle. In have 2 pair,one Zebra and one Society that have raised babies a few times. Its a busy job for them. Do research, good luck and enjoy.

They were home when she gave me the finch eggs and were supposed to be staying home. They left. So that leaves ME to take care of the babies if they hatch. I really could die right now. I have no idea how to take care of them and don't know what to feed them. What have I done? This is awful.
If you have any info as far as what to feed them that you could pass along to me that would be great. I feel horrible, but I guess it's up to me to do what I can if they hatch.

Here is my latst batch of newly hatched Society Finches. The eggs are the size of jelly beans.

They really are helpless little boogers. I will check my finch book to see what to feed the babies. I leave feeding to the parent birds so I don't know much about it. Maybe someone else will know.

i hand feed all my baby finches.. the parents only like to incubate after that i have to do the rest.. it's alot of work and you must have the time to do it.. i have Zebra finches there eggs take 12 days to hatch and the chicks are flying in 3 weeks

i have Society finches to but only 2 males .... it's hard trying to find them a female

I use * INSTANT NUTRI-START * Baby Bird Formula to feed my chicks it works great and last long it has everything in it a baby bird needs.

Baby finches mouth are very tiny when born so you have to find something small enough to feed them the first week me i use a eye drop to feed them the first week then switch to a reg.. dropper

You must keep the chicks warm.. i use a small 4watt bulb i put over them but don't have it to close to there skin or they will get over heated..just have it close enough to keep them nice an warm..

I fed my chicks during the first week every half hour ( yes even at night ) lol

then on week 2 it went from every half hour to once and hour until they were eating on there own

Whatever you have the chicks in make sure you keep it clean

Thanks birdboy for the info. Holy smokes every half hour must come quickly.

Do you keep them in a small box? What sort of lining do you put in for them. I hate to count my chicks before they hatch, but I want to be prepared too. Today is day 10 so if they are to hatch it will be soon. Should I stop rotating the eggs today?
I have never had finches before and they are supposed to go back to the owner after they hatch, but I am thinking if they do hatch and I invest all this time into them they might just become my babies. Shhhh! Don't tell my husband.

My last chicks i had in a small nest i braught from the pet store and i lined it with paper towel that way it was easy to clean cuz chicks mess alot if your on day 10 i wouldn't stop turning till tomorrow on day 11.. after they hatch you don't have to start feeding them right away... let them dry off and get all warm.. even if you see them raise there heads for food.. i don't feed mine till a few hours after hatching cuz the chicks are still feeding off there yolk
