All of ours have kept their fluffy butts...but our Cochin, Charlotte (the chicken in my avitar) has a WICKED fluffy butt!

Peas are doing well, but not expecting any eggs until April or May.

Speaking of fluffy butts I noticed I am going to have to do some trimming of the fluff on some of mine, Kind of messy.

Subhanalah your chicks are adorable and your lil blk one reminds of of my BA last year when they were chicks.

I had actually completely overlooked the australorps when making my breed choices. I wanted buff or ping to and barred rocks...but I am really liking the black australorps. Too bad I can't get any full blooded ones! I'm not complaining though, these have hybrid vigor! Lol.
Which chickens do you have to trim their butts?
