Incubation progress of Muscovy eggs

Yes they were! There is still one here in nearby San Jose, but I haven't been to it in years!

OMG, my dad would make all of us kids jump in the trunk so it looked like just him and my mom was going. He's a little on the Cheap side but there was Four of us kids. LOL.. Now I believe it's per car not per person. HAHAHA

Jokes on him..

Goodness! You all were carrying on while I was away washing dishes! :) But I read all your posts - and thank you.

Mark went off to the pharmacy to get some polyvisol. We can get to Tractor Supply tomorrow - the snow is coming down now, and the TS is a little farther away, so I prefer to not be out in it if we can avoid it.

Alcatraz is not super active, but doing OK, I think. He keeps climbing onto the sponges to lay on them in the bator - all of the ducklings did, actually. Not sure if they like the dampness or just to be off the wire. Do you think it is OK for them to sit on the sponges?

Here's what polyvisol looks like
Well, they are making this confusing!

This is EXACTLY what Mark bought, and I googled photos of the box that has IRON in it. So I know he bought the right one. HOWEVER, if you read the ingredients on this one, one of them is "ferrous sulfate (as a stabilizer for vitamin B12)." Ferrous sulfate IS a type of IRON! HOWEVER, there is added "IRON" on the PVS with iron, so I am OK with this one being the one you are all suggesting...but it's just weird that they actually DO add iron! :)

I never did that but I know alot of kids use to get into the trunks to try to get in with out paying, I'm thinking the owners probably caught on eventually. That's so funny your Dad made you kids do that. well maybe not I hope no one was claustrophobic, that is my problem.

OK - Polyvisol given. I am sure it doesn't taste good - it smells yucky! He took it - with attitude! I think he's going to be OK. He looks good to me, just not as crazy active as Breeze was! But he is moving around, and has his eyes open...I think he just went through a LOT last night with that hatch! :) He's another yellow with a black tail!

I was so jealous of everyone's babies that I had to get my fix. My ducks and geese aren't coming til May so got some chicks. Never wanted chickens but oh my gosh they are so sweet and loving! Here are their pictures in these threads. Something to do while we wait on the rest of these scovies to hatch!

OH MY GOSH Subhanalah! They are so cute! We have 10 chickens - and I love them! They are - in my opinion - SO MUCH easier than the ducks! Their poop is firmer and does not smell as bad, they don't make a mess of their food and water, and you don't have to give them a pool! :) Yours are precious!!

Thanks! I love them.. When I approach their brooder, they fly/jump/run towards me like they think a predator is near and they have to run to me for protection. They cheep really loud until I look at them, I think they sometimes feel a little insecure. Lol.
They cuddle with me and snuggle under my neck to take a nap. I love them so much!
Will you cuddle your duckies?? How is #5, s belly button doing? I think that was Skippy.
