I also really like using unflavored pedialyte for sick or ailing animals. I usually dilute it, but I'm also normally giving it snakes and not birds/mammals.

I would get something fresh. The stuff made for poultry is very expensive here, i would get polyvisol, but really it's up to you whichever is better/easier/cheaper for you.

The packages are probably the BEST way to go they are only $1.99 for Three of them and you ONLY need one of each. Polyvisol is about $11.00. You can get everything you need in those packages..
