Incubation progress of Muscovy eggs

Yes, I definitely think we need more pictured lol. Have you been misting the other eggs?
Yes - misting and turning. But I think several of them are infertile, and the others have died at some point in their development. I don't think anything in there is viable - but I am proceeding like they are.

On that note, Zippy is laying again, and we saw Zippy and Claude mating last night. SO...but here is the deal: In the last three days, she has laid her eggs in three different nests, which makes me thing she is not happy with any of them. Today, she actually found a spot in the cellar - on top of a folded quilt on top of a storage box. It's in a somewhat isolated spot, so I think she likes it. I was thinking of putting a nest box on top of the storage box, putting the egg from yesterday back in there (I had brought it upstairs, thinking we would just eat it) with today's egg, and see what she does tomorrow. What do you all think?

I love the picture in your husband's shirt! It's so sweet!
Thank you for knowing that the fuzzy chin belongs to my husband Mark, and not me!

Pick a place you prefer, remove all eggs from the other nest sites and break up the nest she's made. I would put an egg or two (make sure you label them so you can keep track of how old each egg is) in the desired nesting location and see how she goes. Once she becomes broody remove the oldest eggs unless she has less than 20 in there. That's what I would do, but I could also be wrong lol.

Zippy is weighing things out, She's trying to find the PERFECT spot, A spot where she's safe, the eggs are safe and the babies will be safe when time. I wouldn't mess with the eggs, she's liable to get upset and not sit on them if that is her Plan right now and it kind of sounds like it is.. I wouldn't add to the nest because she will keep laying until she is happy with the number of eggs she's got.

I would just leave her and let her figure out things. In which it sounds like she has..

This isn't about YOU this is about THEM, if they don't like your choice they are NOT going to use it. Here's and example, I have SIX PLUS, nesting boxes that my chickens and Ducks can use. Do they use it? SOME YES,

But NOT the ducks. My ducks preferred a spot in the TALL GRASS, well I knew it was getting close to hatching time. So while she was swimming, I went over to the eggs, IN WHICH she knew I was there, to candle. Needless to say she was NOT HAPPY, and quit sitting on them.

So now where ever they pick, I leave them. They choose a spot for a reason perhaps a reason we don't understand. If they are happy, let them do there thing..

Join the CLUB, my husband complains I have to many But when I sell eggs and there's PAYPAL money, OH WE ARE READY TO SPEND IT. Then we like them...
I want my geese to have gosling this year, well all I hear is I have too many animals now, but he said okay as long as you sell them I said but what if they don't sell? he says we'll eat them, Right he who doesn't even want to process a rooster.
