Incubation progress of Muscovy eggs

FYI, I read somewhere that Muscovies are more sensitive to dehydration than other breeds of ducks, so I think it's important to get them drinking, ASAP, the three day rule does *not* apply to them. Maybe someone that breeds Muscovies can comment... No need to worry now, get some sleep and deal wit it tomorrow.

Muscovies and Mandarins have issues with dehydration and a bit of a blood sugar issue if not fed/watered soon after hatch... which is one reason why so many hatcheries won't ship them

They are also two of the so called "harder to hatch from shipped eggs when a broody isn't used" birds.. funny thing is I have no issues hatching out either one in an incubator from day one.. even if they are shipped..

I guess I'm a bit odd.. I prefer to hatch out the "impossible" species.. and I hatch out everything from reptiles to parrots and exotics to ducks, emu, chickens.. lol.. the list goes on! But the more "difficult" it is the more I enjoy proving that it can be done..

Ok, I can't resist sharing these cuties!!
