Incubation progress of Muscovy eggs

@rey99 , how's your duckling?

-Kathy

Great!!

Woke up this morning to him flopping around the incubator (oh my, SUCH so uncoordinated). Gave him (or her-how do you tell at this age?) a quick rinse to get the rest of the dried goo off and back in the bator. He's doing great, though lonely and peeps insanely when I talk. (PS-they make chicken diapers, do they make duck diapers? I'd so wear him everywhere.)

So, now its just the second egg. Today is Day 36. I figured I'd lost it with all the opening and closing of the incubator but I candled tonight and there's still movement. No internal pipping though. How long do I wait for that one to get going?

There might be a shadow down in the corner of the L. It doesn't look like anything though, more like...oh, how to describe? Like someone lifting a blanket up a tiny bit and dropping it back down. If that makes sense.

Also, I have no idea why the air sac is so oddly shaped. The eggs came from an acquaintance in town. She triple wrapped them in bubble wrap for the 20 min ride home and I let them sit 24 hours before I put them in the incubator.

Im not sure im getting it tomorrow, if there isnt enough room, could i put the geese and ducks in to one, and the chickens and the othere duck into one, after 21 days (as the chicks and the duck will be on the same length of days left), they will hatch, and then once they have hatched move the duck eggs into my fri ends incubator and keep the geese on the other incubator, and let the, hatch separately??
Lets figure out the bator thing first then will figure out how to hatch them so that they call can have a fighting chance. Let me know K.
