Is she a Yellow Duck?

I do not see ANY feathers on her - which scares me because Kathy's ducklings were COVERED with feathers! BUT...her Mama is pure white, and when her Mama was a baby, she was yellow, yes...

YOUR NOT GOING TO SEE FEATHERS.. LOL The only thing they have right now is Soaken wet Baby FLUFF. LOL..

Her head is still inside the membrane - that's very true. Her beak is out...I almost think she is trying to get her head out, because the way she opens her beak and shakes her head is like she is trying to shake the membrane off. Her little nostrils are still inside the shrink wrap - I don't know how she is breathing, but she is! Do you want me to try to get her head out of the membrane, is that what you are suggesting?

Not sure if this is good or not...but the "yellow goo" is not "goo" at all - it is actually just the membrane. There is no "snot" or yolk present...She peeped three times and "yawned" 6 while I was wetting her...now she is back in the incubator.

NO its good, she's OK, she's a little sticky, she's getting to wet, so we need to ease back on the wetness, so since she is back in Lets check back about 1 in the morning, at that time, will see how she looks but this time we won't wet her unless she looks like she really really needs it. Lets let her dry up some. Being that wet we are causing her to do more work then she needs to and she'll end up getting to tired and may quit on us, we don't want that.. Now that your humidity is in the correct spot, we can ease up on the wetting part..

I got her pretty good and wet Lori.....I didn't read your posts "Don't wet her too much" until AFTER I had already wet her - in other words, I was wetting her when you were posting those. Should I turn the humidity down a little (I can remove another sponge)?

I'm going to ask your advice - because you know better than I do! Is it worth waiting to see if she can free herself? Or now that I have her good and wet, and she has been trying to hatch for 48 hours, is she going to get too tired and give up? I will trust your best judgement, because I have no idea what is best for her at this point...

You need the humidity right where it is at, we just need to not wet her so much because she's getting all the moisture that she needs right now. This is a good thing. Lets give her a couple of more hours, will check her then, if she looks good still then I say we go for it.
