Incubation progress of Muscovy eggs

You need the humidity right where it is at, we just need to not wet her so much because she's getting all the moisture that she needs right now. This is a good thing. Lets give her a couple of more hours, will check her then, if she looks good still then I say we go for it.

That sounds good...I'll get a couple picture at 1 - wanna talk at 1:15 - in 2 hours?

I'm going to ask your advice - because you know better than I do! Is it worth waiting to see if she can free herself? Or now that I have her good and wet, and she has been trying to hatch for 48 hours, is she going to get too tired and give up? I will trust your best judgement, because I have no idea what is best for her at this point... :(
The hole is to big, so she's going to need help, the ONLY help you need to give her is to get that head out. The hardest part about all of this is "is she fully absorbed". if she has a dime size of yolk left, she will be OK, we can get that to absorb, if she has more then that, it's a RISK.. and apparently the ONLY way to tell how much yolk she has left is by opening her up. I want to make sure she has Enough time so that if we do open her, she will be in the "safe Zone".. and be OK.

I don't think she is going to get tired out because the only time she seems to peep is when you take her out, so that tells me while she's inside that bator, she is resting. Which is good... But it's also not good because the more she peeps the FASTER she'll absorb, so if you can put your ear to the bator and hear her then we know she's OK and is trying to absorb, but if she is just resting and she's not making a sound, shes going to take LONGER to absorb..

It's a long process, even if you didn't touch her, ducks take LONGER then chickens. Chickens are like "get me the hell out of here". Where ducks, they like to take there time, they are in NO rush for anything. Like I said they like to make sure there make up is prefect and There baby fluff is styled nicely, etc. They do more preparing then anything. LOL We just need to work with them on that remember it's there schedule NOT ours..

Sounds good to me. I'll be up, OH CRAP speaking of I need to put my call ducks to bed. HAHAHHAA, I'm so into yours I forgot about my kids, well I have two hours to get them to bed. HAHAHA apparently it takes me 1 hour to get them all to bed.

I have 9 Coops, 8 are chickens and 1 is where the ducks are, I have to carry two 5 gallons of water out there, fill up all empty ones which is USUALLY the ducks and thaw out all the frozen ones, That's the wonderful life of OHIO. The hose is frozen up...

But I'm looking forward in talking Guinea Pig talk because if I ever run into a problem with them, I will NOT know who to go to, the closes vet is over 2 hours away. GRRRR...

Ok got my cup of tea and I'm ready for her ...
700

so I may help right now but get ready because you'll have to help me someday. LOL

Off to put the kids to bed..

Oh! I am certainly NO EXPERT on guinea pigs - not like you are on Muscovies! I know a little - but can't hold a candle to you!

OK - It is 1:13 AM - here is the latest (it is kinda blurry - I can get another if you need me to!):

I think she's ready see how her beak is pressing up against the shell where earlier there was quit a lot of space..

I think we maybe good now, so here's what you need the cup and onion JUST IN CASE, when you take her out you have exactly 30 minutes absolutely no longer, I will keep track of the time for you, very slowly DO NOT RUSH TAKE YOUR TIME, start pealing off some shell, ONLY PEAL IT where there is empty space, get as close to the membrane as you can with out hitting it, if at any point she starts to bleed, immediately apply pressure, get it to stop and place her back into the bator, will have to wait another two hours.

Once you feel like you have all the shell off that you can get send me a picture, you do NOT need to get every single piece of shell we are only going to take enough off to get her head out so look at her beak and work around that, it shouldn't even be half. Maybe like a fourth..,
Before you attempt to try and get that head out send me a picture of her so I can see if we need more off or if we are go, please don't try to get the head out yet..
