Incubation progress of Muscovy eggs

OK remember they are going to all BE Delayed because of the low temp, so give them an extra day or even two, with the way #4 looks now, I would go Three more extra days..

ALSO, when you place them back into the incubator DONT do it now wait Until you have to wet #4 but when you open that bator again, Make sure all Lockdown eggs are SLIGHTED upwards a little.

Push the smaller end down so that the larger end is higher..

With this in mind - giving them some extra days to hatch, do I want to wait to put them into lockdown until later than day 32? Right now, eggs #4-9 are in there...Should I wait to move #10 and subsequent eggs until they are older than 32 days?

Yes, I am leaving them sitting in the incubator with the round ends tilted up slightly. I would not say they are sitting on their tiny end, but they are tilted with the round end up (I read to do that on your website - thank you very much! :) )

WHEN we get one out and he's yapping and yapping all around, the others will pop out within 24 to 48 hours, it's almost like they are having a race to see who will be the next one to break out of jail. It's pretty neat.

So lets hope we can keep the others in there shell and work on #4 and get her out safely, Once that happens, BOOM she'll get those others ones going... Since they have NOT crack there shell yet we should be pretty safe, you just need to close that bator up Immediately as your working on #4..

#4 is going to need assistant from here on, she's not going to make it out by herself...but will do the best we can with her. It's going to be a LONG process so I hope you were NOT planning on getting any sleep.

Because Every two hours we will have to check on her!!! Once we get her head out, THAT"S WHEN you get to Sleep. LOL.. So go get plenty of coffee or Energy drinks whatever it takes, it's going to be a LONG NIGHT. I will be up with you Every step of the way...

You think she is going to want to come out that soon? I was thinking she was going to need more time - but of course, I defer to you!! YOU ARE THE EXPERT - and WAY more than kind to offer all this advice and support!!

If we play our cards right and DON"T rush this, I think she will be OK. It's going to take some time, it's not something that will happen in the next two hours or six hours it may take a whole day. But we have to keep with her and go by her needs NOT ours.

ARE YOU READY FOR A LONG NIGHT??? That is the question, a lot of people will say yes but come around 1 or 2 in the morning they quit responding. LOL. My guess is they have taken a nap. LOL but for her we can't do that..

TEMPS ARE EXCELLENT, need that Lockdown Humidity HIGHER, Take your washcloth and wet it really good and stick it in a corner....keep an eye on the humidity we want it up to about 65 70..

We already have a wet washcloth in there! I swear getting the humidity up is nearly impossible! I don't know what I am doing wrong to make the humidity so low! Anyway, I just re-wet the washcloth and put it back in....

Sure! I don't want her to die, and I will do everything I can to help her live since *I* put her in the incubator and created the situation she is in. The incubators are in our guest bedroom, so I will just sleep in that bed tonight and take the laptop in there with me and set the alarm clock to get up every 2 hours.
