OK! We got the membrane good and wet - and she "yawned" probably 8 times while I was working with her, and "peeped" about 5 or 6. She's trying!

I think I read earlier in this thread (from Kathy) about the onion and the coffee cup - or, I read it SOMEWHERE.

The humidity is up to 78% - it's feast or famine around here! I took two of the five sponges out, and will continue to monitor.

By the way - I picked up #5. The air sac is bigger than #4's was, and #5 is peeping! I just put him back down in the incubator...with the round end tilted up (as all are in the lockdown!)!

We really didn't want anyone to crack yet so let me know if they do... We need to finish #4 before the rest...

I'm on the stupid, slow iPad and we've been having internet issues all day, so I haven't been able to look at the pictures on a large screen, which these aging eyes seem to need these days, lol.

Just checked - humidity is now at 68% now! Maybe I now have the right amount of wet sponges in there - wow! That was hard!
