The cord is going to stay attached but as it dries up it will get thinner and thinner, it will look like a piece of thread, it will be dark not see threwish.
OK - I took her out and looked for the string. I don't think I see it - I am thinking maybe it fell off, although I can't find it. I gently pulled on what I thought might have been the string, but I think it was the cord shriveling up...Is the tiny "lump" between the cord and her body is the yolk sac still being absorbed?
No yolk is all absorbed, your looking at a swelled up behind. A lot of work went on back there. If the string fell off then that would make total since as to why she was bleeding. If she has stopped bleeding, and she's cleaned up, I say just put her in and let her do her thing.. As long as the bleeding has stopped she'll be ok, and since she's popping her system is working that's a BONUS. HAHAHAHA
No, but it is a way for bacteria to enter, so don't touch it if you don't have to.OK - I took her out and looked for the string. Oh! I hope I didn't! I dripped water on it while I was washing the cord, looking for the string! Should I be worried?
