Incubation progress of Muscovy eggs

Rub some vitamin e instead of the sugar water, just a dab it's real thick so you have to be careful.. Again you just want her to taste it, not drink it...

Seen a few swollen heads here in chicks, peachicks and ducklings and the peafowl people seem to think if from them trying to pip for a long time. All of mine were better in a couple of days.

Your right and yeh it maybe the case. But the vitamin e won't hurt if it's a deficiency..

7 - who I affectionately named TROOPER because he was trying so hard, passed. :( He was out of the shell, and moving a bit, but seemed underdeveloped to me. His beak was softer than any of the other ducklings' beaks. He did open his eyes and look at me, but I don't know if he was deformed or just not "cooked" long enough. But he's gone. I put him with Peeper and we will bury them in the garden under the lilac tree in the spring.

8 - who my husband named TULIP (No idea why) is out of the shell, and has even managed to free herself from the shell (unattached from the cord). She's in the bator, moving around and then resting.

I did manage to get both of them some corn syrup, on a Q-tip and rubbed on their tongues. We did that, then put them both in the bator and went out to bring the chickens and ducks in. Trooper was gone when we came in.

Later tonight, we will candle 9 and 10 (9 is on day 35 and 10 is on day 34) and see what's going on there.

Skippy is in the brooder - oh Lord is she a cutie! She's climbing all over her stuffed animal (a cat) and most of the lump on her belly is absorbed. It's certainly smaller and drying up. She has not eaten anything yet, but has had a few sips of water...although not as much as I would like.

We made it through today....thank you all again (that sounds so little for all that you are all doing for us!) for all the love, support, encouragement, education, and advice!
