Incubation progress of Muscovy eggs

@rey99 , I get it... and looking closer I can see that they are veins on the shell, right? Sorry, my mistake.

That's right. They seem so big and red still.
they are because he hasn't finished yet. if he was finished he would be out of that shell and you wouldn't see them, but by finished I mean he's still has some shrinking to do and clear up his cords. Not all that blood will be absorbed on the bottom of the shell which is OK,

Just curious-why would the membranes where he pipped be almost clear of veins (and the ones that were there were very thin and spiderweby) but the ones at the other end still be big and full? Did he pip too early? Should I have waited longer after making the air hole.

The ones down the smaller end are the critcial veins, that's where his main ones are so they take longer to get absorbed compare to the ones where his head would be those are just little veins, all the blood has to flow down towards the smaller end to the main vein..so they will be big.

Ok so I have found a person, who i can buy 10 ducklings, of they White chilterns, has anybody ever had these, and he also had 8 geese eggs, which I'm going to buy of him, and he said he would throw in some ducks eggs aswell for me, but here is the problem, I have the 5 duck eggs in on day 5, I'm pretty sure only one is fertile, but I only have one incubator, What do I do, don't geese and ducks take them same length as ducks to hatch so I can put them in together but what do I do about the one duck egg that I think is Fertile, should I put it in with them, and let it it hatch and when it does take it out, or should I put it in the brooder, and mist it? Or should I just take it out and l throw it away?
