Incubator not heating up any more!!!

I will have to agree with cmom without actually being there to see your incubator. If the heating element was defective, I would think it wouldn't function at all? And be one of those deals where it either works or it doesn't? If that is the case, then the heater IS still working albeit at not the right temp..... but that will be due to the defective thermostat unit and not the heater itself. So, if I was to replace something, it would be the thermostat and not the heater. Just my guess.
I looked up the parts for this incubator and there is only the integrated heater and fan kit part to buy. I can set the temp to well about 100 degrees and the incubator never gets above 82. I have a thermometer in the incubator just in case and it reads the same temp as the display

I have it set to 103 degrees and it wont get past 72 degrees.
Did you touch the heating element...is it warm at all??
If no heat would be element or thermostat, if slightly warm could just be thermostat.
But if you're not up to diagnosing and dissembling to replace parts, if they are available, might be time to buy a whole new incubator.

I did touch the heating element and its cold not even slightly warm. the fan does spin though. whats your recommendation for an incubator under $150 ... the farm innovator 4250 has an egg turner and I'm wondering if I can move it to another incubator to save on the cost

I think it is. I disconnected and reset everything last night. the fan on the heater kicks on but the heater is not heating up at all. I even bought a incubator without the egg turner since I can move the egg turner from the old incubator to the new... and the new one wont heat up either. I have it set to 103 degrees and it wont get past 72 degrees. I keep the house at 70-72 degrees so I don't think that is it. neither of the incubators are close to vents. I have moved them both three times over the last few days to different locations and they are plugged directly into the wall. the farm innovators incubator has five eggs in it and was heating to temp for the first 7-10 days but it hasn't gone about 82 degrees the last few days. I'm beyond frustrated

When did you buy the new one? Doesn't make sense that you would have two incubators go bad at the same time and do the same thing unless you have bad power and are getting electrical spikes.

I bought the new one two weeks ago. its a little giant 9300 from tractor supply but it will be going back this weekend. they were in the same room plugged into separate outlets. now this one is in my kitchen and the other one is in a different room and still neither are heating. I have 22 pak lay hmong eggs coming Thursday so I have to figure out something

Can you take it back before Thursday and swap it out? Get them to plug it up at the store before you bring it home. I would think too much of a coincidence for three to do the same thing.

yeah I thought about that but the reviews for the 9300 are awful. my 4250 did really well last year and I didn't really know what I was doing. now I'm looking for one I can order and have by Friday

My Tractor Supply has the 4250 in stock. Did you ask them if they have it?

My Little Giant was awful too until I made some mods. to it. But the main thing now is for you to find one that works period.

I'm going there tomorrow with the 9300 I just bought to return and I might just get another 4250 and hope for the best... they usually keep both in stock
