Incubator question, turning rack for eggs

I incubate mine on their sides and hand turn them 3 times a day.

I've tried on end with a auto turner and on their sides with an auto turner. But myself personally, I've always had a better hatch rate turning by hand. It may have something to do with by hand I turn them all the way over where auto turners kinda just rock them.

Well, this is what I'm working with. It seems to be working to roll them gently. I wish I could hand turn them but we are going out of town later in the week so something needed to be improvised.

If the picture isn't clear, I took the suggestion to wrap the tray in a "box" using chicken wire instead of hardware cloth. The eggs have room to roll but not flop out of the trays. Here's hoping! Thanks everyone!
