incubator questions

fantastic! I was thinking I read that someplace but I wanted to be sure. I'll be ordering eggs within the week more than likely, time to give this incubator a real world trial run lol. Thanks again for all of the useful input!

You sure don't want them hatching where they can fall. Do you have a fan? You can make a hatching tray very easy,or just put paper towels in the bottom.

yep, I got the dropping problem figured out for this prototype, and I'm redesigning the entire thing for the next go. It does have a low power fan in the box to eliminate thermal layering.

another kinda random/silly question though. Approximately how tall (in inches) are the chicks by the time they're dry and ready to put in a brooder?

I Just Saw An Incubator And The Hatching Trays Had A Wire Cover To Keep The Hatchlings In.
