I made my own incubator...temps range from 102-108. Where do I need to try to maintain my temp. Humidity has been around 30%

Did you build it as a forced air or still air unit? Can you take and post some photos of the incubator you built? What is your heat source you are using? Is the fluctuation happening as you attempt to adjust the temperature or on it's own? Is the range you posted a steady temperature in different areas of the incubator or is it that the general temperature is fluctuating that much in a given period of time?

I'm not moving the thermometer. The only regulating I can do with this set up is to crack the lid to get the temp I need. It was 108 when I got up this morning. But it hasn't gone over 108 or below 97. I just set them last night about 8pm. It got to 97 either when I was turning the eggs or trying to get the temp I wanted with cracking the lid

I was told to maintain the temp at 99.5....i just read a thread on here and someone's temp was at 108 and they were told the eggs got killed because the temp was too high.....try getting it down to 99.5 and candle on day 7......

Hopefully the high temp didn't mess them up since it's so early n the process.
