Incubators Anonymous

6:30 am here I got up, made a fire, and sitting on pins and needles, day 21 and guests are asleep, (incubator in guest closet). So I cannot even peek.
my husband says it's time for a loud "accident" in the main part of the house so they can wake up and the chicken mama can check on her new babies! Lol I would have already let myself in and offered to show them the new hatches lol

of 6, 2 hatched, 3 more pips, and I cannot see the green egg under the thermometer.

Forgot to post pics from my Wednesday night candling... (Day 7). Everyone developing, tho I'm still concerned about a couple of the air cells still being too large. Calibrated my hygrometer, and it's been hovering around 36-38%, without adding water, so I'm gonna call that good enough (don't wanna add water when it could create a huge spike that takes forever to go back down.) But, all 10 eggs looking pretty good so far! This seems like the longest hatch ever... I feel like I should be approaching hatch day, not just being halfway thru...sigh
Anyway, here's pics!

Sorry for all the pics. I like to share :D I'm very excited to have more wheaten Ams and Speckled Sussex...I'm really hoping to get some nice boys out of this hatch to further my breeding program next year. Excited for some early layers next year, too, since I always seem to get girls that don't mature before it gets cold. Man, I love hatching!!:love
