I just candled and moved the eggs to the hatcher for lockdown. One hundred fifty-one out of the one hundred ninety-four made it to the hatcher. There were only two early quitters and no blood rings. All of the remaining failures were infertile eggs.

I expected the legbar eggs to be infertile since I only have one hen and she was hiding from the rooster. I was surprised to find one of her eggs was fertile.

It should be an interesting weekend.

I did put fresh sand in the brooder for bedding. I am semi ready. I have turned the incubator off for a few days as I prepare to incubate turkey eggs.

I bought my cabinet bator so I could have plenty of room to hatch turkeys. As my tabletops filled up to quick.

But things didn't work out that way. For some reason I have 150 chicken eggs now cooking. 27 turkey eggs in it. 10 turkey eggs in a tabletop. As well as some pheasant eggs. I also have 100 pheasant eggs that are to be delivered in april.

Thought my tabletops were bad for hatching. But they did impose limits on my hatching. My cabinet let's me set way toooooo many eggs.

Hi, my name is Banti and although I am not as crazy as some here *cough* Ralphie *cough* I still keep setting more than too many eggs.

I set well over 10x the eggs I was gonna last year, and am gearing up to do the same... Again.

They should all hatch over 2 weeks. Counting the extra week for the turkey eggs.
