My turkeys have slowly begun giving me eggs and I hatched the first 2 poults of the year on Friday.

Seramas are laying steadily but the eggs have been infertile :idunno The CCL are starting to pump them out again and the Ameraucanas are SLOWLY thinking about it, giving me an egg every few days, when they feel like it. Still waiting on silkies and BCM to pick it up again.

Ach, you meanie! I'd have AMs going already but for the fact they aren't laying at ALL.

We have good days with our girls, and other days, 60 chickens give us 10 eggs. I'm hoping I have another broody in 3 weeks or so after these new chicks hatch, so that they can raise them for me. The current broody has been AWESOME. I did lose my little runt, that I think was one of the twins. The other runt, is going strong. The rest are getting huge. Beautiful feathers! The mottled faced one that I was hoping a girl, just might be. No signs of a comb, yet 3 of her brothers are sporting a prominent comb.

Ok I am feeling a little out of control...... lol
I have 24 chicks in the house that are 2 weeks old and 22 chicks outside that are 7 weeks old and 18 that are just 3 months old in another grow out pen......
not to mention that I have 28 chicken, 9 duck, and 3 turkey eggs in the bator due on feb28th.....
am I the only one that is going crazy already????
I have planned another set date for right after these hatch, it will be as many turkey eggs as I can get and maybe some duck eggs and more chicken eggs......
My husband just revealed plans to add another grow out yard to my chicken compound and I am excited! but starting to wonder about my sanity.... lol:love:celebrate:eek::wee
So anyone have that Manual on chicken math??? specifically the chapter on subtraction?? lol:lau

Lol, you sound like me! I had to have a major game of brooder shuffle this morning. Marie mixes were too big to be in with the other babies so they got their own pen. Babies in the bedroom brooder were too big so they moved out with the other babies in the bigger brooder. Serama babies couldn't start in either brooder because they were too small but now are able to fly so they got their own brooder (the adults weren't welcoming to them). Now the bedroom brooder looks empty but I just pulled 3 babies from the hatcher to add to it along with the 2 silkies still in there. The cabinet bator is slowly filling with eggs. I don't even know how many babies are in the big brooder outside....30 ish?
