Is it a JN-92 or JN-96---your numbers are not adding up. How would you set them up to possibly hatch 48 chicks per week?
JN-96 96 + 48 is 140!!

Okay...the JN-96(sorry about that....) has two sections (below) so that means 48 chicks in one section, together it is 96!!

Each week I will set 48 eggs in the JN-96! Then after the third week I will set the oldest batch into th JN-48 so that I can raise the humidity with out hurting the younger batches!!! Sorry if that doesn't make sense....

Math quiz----96+48 is how much?? Just Playing with you!

What you said makes sence BUT The Humidity does not need to be raise till day 18 which is also the day you will need to stop turning the eggs. Also eggs do not always hatch on day 21, sometimes it takes me to day 23 to get all the chicks out the "hatcher" then it has to be cleaned. If you want to hatch Weekly, I would suggest you set 32 eggs per week into the JN96 and on day 18 you move the first batch of 32 to the JN48 with the higher humidity--no turner. Put 32 more eggs into the 96. Hatch the 32 in the 48 and get it cleaned and ready for the next batch. Just My Opinion!

My girl is thinking about it but hasn't gotten there yet!

I'm still waiting too. On pins-and-needles, of course!!!

She's got until tomorrow to prove to me she really wants to. Then I'm going to just leave the brooder open and see what she does. I'm not looking forward to that!!!

Anyway yesterday I set my second ":test batch" in my new bator...33 Barnyard Mix eggs!!

LOL...I am sooooo glad I just got these eggs cause one of my broodies just decided to give up!! I quickly candled them and 8/9 were still alive and good looking!!! Put them in the incubator!!!!!

Plus...another one of my eggs from the "1st test batch" has hatched!!! It is a little black one!!!! Now Sugar (the first one; she/he is white) has a friend!!!! Still looking for a name though....
