My husband is building me an icubator for my birthday but thats not until spring so0000o0o0 once i noticed that my roosters were fertilizing eggs in my backyard i built my own incubator out of random stuff in the house and have a dozen eggs going!

they should be hatching around jan 3rd!!!
 
my husband is going to kill me lol I hatched out 4 chicks so far and when I put those 4 eggs in the hatcher I snuck 12 more eggs into the incubator lol

I now have hatches this thursday , Saturday , next Saturday ,and the next Friday lol can't wait till Feb. I'm setting eggs all feb. and March

for Easter and b-day chicks for all my kids and neices and nephews and cousins lol I wanted to color the chicks but I'm so not injecting the eggs with anything it's scary to even think about
 
Just got home from school--subbing is exhausting. Ran right to the incubators and 2 more have hatched.

well i've got 5 for lockdown tomorrow, the quail are due tues/wed and i sat 7 more dorkings for new years hatch... i resisted, but they called to me. haven't told hubby yet.

ok if i set the quail eggs on Dec 3, when should I go to lockdown on them? and what if the chicks aren't done hatching yet? how can i seperate them or do i need to? help me out here, these are my first ittybitties.
 
Okay, my hatch is finished; babies are doing well in the brooder. It's time to put the incubator away till next Spring.

I just cleaned and sanitized the incubator (Genesis 1588) and it's drying on the kitchen counter now as we speak.

I'M OFF TO GO CHECK OUT THE EGG AUCTIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
