Any feedback on the pro series incubator from farm innovations with auto egg turners?
Not very professional

Essentially identical to the Little giant

Cons
shallow base - open it and chicks can go running
I am not a fan of the thermostat - a little turning gives a hole lot of adjustment and their is no lock.here is what I ended up doing to mine

Its now a sophisticated incubator with a digital thermostat

Hi everyone, 2 of my eggs just hatched and I am not sure what type of ducks they are. When we purchased her mom and dads we were told that they were chocolate rumner ducks, and since they were brown, fuzzy and walked upright we took them at their word. But when they matured it turned out that ghey looked like rouens and walked like rouens, my female has wild feathers on the top of her head like she is partially crested. Now with the babies they jave almost a half fro on their heads and look just like their parents, but I can't find any puc on line that look anything like them. Please help.
go to efowl.com... they have a hugh selection of ducks. Maybe you can compare photos and find out what it is! Let us know

Thanks it's good to hear the real truth.... I am new and trying to spend smart $$$ any ideas on an incubator?
I have a Brinsea eco 20 and I love it ! It's pretty much like the TV ads " set it & forget it " They are very expensive, but I as lucky and found a used one.

I also have a Hovabator 1588 w/ turner. It is excellent too. The only problem I had with both of them is holding the humidity steady in the warm/hot weather. When I hatch in Feb - May I don't have that issue.

You could probably buy 2 1588's for the $$ of a Brinsea , and they hold ALOT more eggs

How are you finding the temperature distribution accross the incubator? I still have my LG but i just keep it for emergencies, but it would be nice to know i can rely on it in such an emergency. From looking at other designs i think i have figured that the fan needs to be baffled so that the inflow of air cuts accross the heating element before it circulates how did you baffle your fan?

BTW mine looks like that too, but i use the aluminum tape LOL!! the frankenincubator..

mine has a pc fan 12v running on a 9v adapter, air flow draws from center and flows up and out

the hovabators genesis is probably the best incubator for the least money IMO... I have the cheaper versions of hovabators, but then, I've also modified them with fans and digital thermometer/hygrometers... I have 4. 3 I use for incubating, 1 for hatching only.

Quote: ditto. I have 9v power supplies for the incubators, and a 6v on the hatcher... for a 12v fan to run at lower voltage, it simply turns slower... always make sure they're blowing UP tho, otherwise it can dry out the chicks/eggs too fast if they're getting blown on constantly.
