With all you incubator addicts what is the best affordable incubator for quail eggs? What would you suggest?
Thanks

OK, How crazy is this... I've got 15 Italian Specked Quail eggs and 12 Olive Egger eggs in my bator and I am looking at auctions and dratting that I don't have the money right now to order more eggs!

I just saw new kind of Super Blue Egg Layer. It was a cross between a Cream Legbar and a Leghorn. It was white with a crest! Now I have a new chicken to jones for.

I use hovabators exclusively... they're reasonably priced, and if they Styrofoam breaks or disintegrates (from cleaning chemicals) you can buy replacement parts easily, directly from gqf.

I have 4, each with computer fans added, 3 have auto turners and the 4th is a dedicated hatcher. one of the others is a part time hatcher if ineed to separate groups (learned the hard way last year LOL dark Cornish and blrw look TOO much alike at hatch!)

I think Donna raises these... (DMRippy)

I do breed those. I also get some that are blue and black since I have an exchequer cross in that pen. all the chicks are barred and most all are crested.....very cute.

Your own quail eggs are very forgiving. Shipped quail eggs use anything but make sure the eggs don't dry out. You need to pay a bit more attention to turning your eggs so you don't get feet or leg problems.

Any Styrofoam incubator will work. Some recommend no fan but I have not tried that.
