Incubators Anonymous

I was just looking at your trailer and do you have four of them incubators

Yes 4, they are now consuming my garage stall until I can figure out what the heck I'm going to do with them.

When do y'all start slowing down in selling chicks? This past weekend is the 1st time I've struggled to get everything sold. Idk if it was just a rough crowd or if its already slowing down! Seems early to me!

So it turns out that on top of being an incubating addict, I'm also an ebay-hatching egg junkie...... There's just so many that I WANT!

This darn coolerbator cant get finished fast enough! I already have my brinsea stuffed to the max and have some being switched out almost instantly tomorrow. Took some picutres of my progress so far, I'll try to get them posted somewhere. Don't have all the parts yet and was having trouble getting the sealent to hold the light sockets to dry (turns out it doesn't, just stays rubbery but still hold the lamp in place. Going to put some Loctite or whichever brand I have, over the top of all of that...just to make sure. )

I did get the farm innovator incubator, appeared to get the temp. steady last night before I went to bed and it was still right on this morning. I have noticed that it will dip about 5 deg or so but gets back up right away....not sure if I should be worried about it. Going to play around with the humidity this evening, get it up to the 65% range. Hopefully the temp is still holding true, they weren't kidding when they said just barely barely turn the knob to make a temp change.

Yeah I'm having problems getting rid of some chicks that are crosses. In the future Mine will all be Delaware's or Rhode Islands which I think would sell quicker. Maybe hatch some Barred rocks.

Here I have no problem getting rid of mixes, but I sell them for 3$ a piece. I do however make sure th ey are a mix of good layers though as thats what most people are looking for

Last weekend was the first one where I wasn't sold out by the end of it. I have more chicks orders to fill for one breed but the others haven't sold. I've got more in the incubator as well but will now only be setting any that I want for next years breeders or special orders that come up. I'll be listing eggs shortly on here and eBay.
